“Our setting recognises parents as the first and most important educators of their children” (Ellen McCartney – Manager)
All of our Key People / Early Years practitioners see themselves as partners with parents and carers. These strong trustful relationships enable us to provide individualised care and education for the children who attend.
There are many ways in which parents take part in making our setting a welcoming and stimulating place for children:-
Exchanging knowledge about their children’s needs, activities, interests and progress with our staff
Contributing to the progress check at age two
Adding to your child’s online learning journal
Sharing their own special interests with the children
Joining in community activities, in which the setting takes part – look out for coffee mornings!
Building friendships with other parents in the setting.
We also encourage parents to follow us on social media; we regularly update our Facebook and Instagram pages. Follow the links on the home page or below to see what’s happening in our preschool community.
