Dr Sarah Handley, Chair of the Board , Clinical Psychologist (D.Clin.Psych)

For 19 years, I have been practicing as a clinical psychologist in the NHS and I work primarily with young children and their families. I’m really interested in how children develop within an ecology of relationships, the more subtle nuances of these relationships and intuitive playful knowing. Supporting the preschool has always been important to me as I have always found it to be an inspiring, kind and playful place – my own daughters were very free and happy here.

I have a background in Health Promotion before becoming one of the Govt Office team which rolled out the Sure Start progranme across Yorkshire&the Humber. I later became a Childrens Centre Manager in Bradford.

I am very proud to play a small part in the building of LEYA.

John Dammone, Managing Director at Salvo’s Restaurant Limited

John is the Managing Director of family run Salvo’s Restaurant in Headingley. Salvo’s was founded in 1976 and still remains one of the most successful, innovative Italian restaurants in the region. John has been living in Headingley for the past 30 years and has been an active member of the Headingley community earning respect within the neighbourhood as well as within the local business community
